Javier Pastore's agent has led to further confusion by insisting: “He never said he wanted to leave Palermo.”

El Flaco's situation is up in the air with new transfer gossip every day, but it seemed to come to a head this morning when the player was quoted as saying: “I feel that the time to leave Palermo has arrived.”

The Sicilian club immediately confessed he could leave if that was what he wanted, but now Pastore's agent has come up with a different version of events.

The Sicilian club immediately confessed he could leave if that was what he wanted, but now Pastore's agent has come up with a different version of events.

“He never said he wanted to leave Palermo and he doesn't think that either,” agent Marcelo Simonian told Calciomercatoweb.

“Did I meet with Chelsea? Absolutely not. It's a false news story.”

Pastore has also been linked with Roma now that former Palermo director of sport Walter Sabatini has joined the club.

“Sabatini is a guarantee for Roma and someone who knows football better than any other. Will he call me for Pastore? I doubt that can happen, although I am always in contact with him.”
