"Pastore could be sold if he were to show a desire to leave," Zamparini said.

He then turned his attention to Monday's clash with Napoli, which should be intriguing, as Palermo will be reunited with Edinson Cavani who left the club in the summer.

"Cavani is an exceptional player. I love him," Zamparini explained. "He wanted to leave Palermo, otherwise I would have kept him.

"He is a player who I always follow. I am happy for him. But I hope that he doesn't score on Monday. Josip Ilicic has arrived in his place. He is a true talent.

"In my opinion Napoli versus Palermo will be a balanced game between two sides who play good football and will be fighting until the end of the season for a good position in the table.

"They can beat anyone, Inter and Milan included. If Cavani were to score against us it would be a sign of destiny. I would never have imagined Cavani going to Napoli. Aurelio De Laurentiis was clever. He called me because he wanted Cavani at all costs.

"I must compliment the Napoli President."
