Javier Pastore admits his Roma career has been “held back by a series of injuries” but “I’m trying to return as soon as possible”.
The Argentine joined the Giallorossi from Paris Saint-Germain, but has played just 12 minutes since September 29.
“Friends, my journey with Roma has unfortunately been held back straight away by a series of injuries that have kept me away from the pitch,” Pastore wrote on Instagram.

“I wanted to give the best for our colours from the start, but I’m trying to return as soon as possible in top shape, to take this team to where it deserves to be.
“Your support for me in this period has been really important, and I couldn’t do without it as a I try to overcome these obstacles.
“I can’t wait to get back to what I love doing most in life – playing football!
