Parma midfielder Marco Parolo has spoken of his desire and belief that he can secure a place in Cesare Prandelli’s World Cup squad.

The 29-year-old has played his part in the Gialloblu’s impressive Serie A season to date and also believes teammate Gabriel Paletta should be considered for a spot in Brazil.

“I am very happy for Gabriel too,” Parolo told the Parma Channel. “He played a great match and has fitted in with the group very well.

“We both believe in this dream, and above everything we believe in this Parma team.”

Parolo then commented on other teammate Antonio Cassano.

“A player of the calibre of Antonio cannot not be taken into consideration.

“Obviously it will be down to the Coach to decide.

“All I can say is that he is giving so much to Parma at the moment and he has really taken on board what it means to be part of the team.”
