Veteran midfielder Marco Parolo has claimed the Scudetto battle will spur Lazio on, despite having to resume without the support of their influential fans.
Lazio sit second in Serie A, one point behind League leaders Juventus, and Parolo looks forward to starting again.
“These days I spend a lot of time with the family, playing with my son to make up for the lost time due to retreats and travels,” he told Lazio Style Channel. “We have been home for a couple of months and we can’t wait to resume the championship.

“In this period, we miss the adrenaline from the game, which is the daily bread for us. From the simple challenge in the family to the duels between teammates in training.”
From his home, Parolo proudly presented the match ball from the 6-2 away win against Pescara, when the midfielder scored four goals.
“I only have one ball at home, it’s right behind me, here… the one from the four goals against Pescara. It’s a great memory.”
The 35-year-old admitted the players will miss the influential supporters but vowed the Scudetto fight will bring out the best in them.
“There’s a desire to resume, but we will miss the spectators badly. We have created this extraordinary synergy between the people both home and away.
“We knew we always started the matches being 1-0 up and we will have to compensate for this with the desire to achieve our target.
“When you fight for a trophy, like winning a Cup or a Scudetto, you have something more inside you rather than when you play for an achievement of a target, even if it’s also prestigious to qualify for the Champions League.”
