“Qualifying for the Round of 32 was our objective and we only needed a point, but we achieved it by winning,” Parolo told Sky Sport Italia.

“We really wanted to send a signal after recent problems in Serie A and now we must concentrate on the League to improve our position.
“The team is united and we must continue along this path. The quality is there and in the long run results will arrive.
“People say our squad is divided? Many stories are invented. The locker room has always been united, perhaps we just felt uncertain as the results didn’t arrive.
“If we find consistency in our results, we’ll feel more confident too.”
