Parma midfielder Juraj Kucka is reportedly on the verge of a transfer to Watford, having previously been in talks with Genoa.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the deal is essentially done.

The 34-year-old Slovakia international has 86 senior caps for his country, in which he scored 10 goals.

His contract was due to expire in June 2022 and his departure was expected after Parma’s relegation to Serie B.

Genoa had some proposals rejected this summer, but it would seem that Watford found the right offer to convince Parma.

Kucka spent much of his career in Italy, joining Genoa in January 2011, then moving to Milan in 2015.

After a two-season spell in Turkey with Trabzonspor, Kucka returned to Italy for Parma in January 2019.
