Parma have announced that there is a ‘common desire’ for the club to continue in Serie B after meeting with the FIGC.
The Ducali have been declared bankrupt, and will need to be funded by the Lega Serie A until the end of the season in order to complete their fixtures.
If a new buyer can pay off the club’s €74m sporting debt before the end of June, then the Emilian side will be allowed to play in Serie B next season when they are relegated at the end of this term.
If not, the club faces starting again from the amateur Leagues.

In a statement on the club’s official website, Parma confirmed that administrators Angelo Anedda and Alberto Guion met with the FIGC, the Lega Serie A and the AIC across the past two days.
The statement declares that the administrators discussed the possibility of a ‘parachute payment’ at the end of the season, which received “positive feedback”.
“Today Mr Anedda and Mr Guion met with President Carlo Tavecchio at the FIGC headquarters in Rome,” the statement went on to say.
“They discussed the subject of recent reforms of Federation standards and how they impact on the current situation of Parma Calcio, in particular to the size and structure of the sporting debt.
“All of the meetings were held in a cordial and constructive manner, with a common desire to seek a positive outcome to the bankruptcy of Parma FC, which would lead to the registration of the team in Serie B.”
