Parma mayor Federico Pizzarotti has attacked President Giampietro Manenti after their meeting and threatened to 'close the stadium down'.
The President of the Emiliani was in a meeting with the mayor today in an attempt to clarify the club's murky financial situation.
While Manenti still insists that there is a 'plan' to save the club, he was forced to return from the meeting under an escort as an angry mob of supporters followed his retreat.

Mayor Federico Pizzarotti's first statements after the meeting, reported by Sky Sport 24, were not nearly as positive as the President's.
“Manenti is not credible as an intermediary,” he said.
“If this is what the Parma President is, then we're ready to shut his stadium down.
“The Parma players have all of my solidarity.”
