Parma appear to have missed out on free agent Medhi Abeid, as he is ready to sign a three-year contract with Nantes.
The 26-year-old was out of contract after his deal with Dijon expired and Sportitalia were confident he had chosen Parma.
However, this evening Soccerlink in France maintain Abeid has passed a medical and will sign for Nantes instead.
He is an Algeria international with one goal in 11 senior Italy caps.
