Parma boss Pasquale Marino has been given the dreaded vote of confidence by the struggling Serie A minnows.

Marino's job has been placed into some doubt with reports suggesting that Roberto Donadoni would soon be replacing him at the Tardini.

Yet despite being joint-bottom of the table after the 0-0 draw with Chievo, the former Udinese tactician has been told he's safe.

"We're not even thinking about dismissing Marino," Parma director general Pietro Leonardi noted.

Yet despite being joint-bottom of the table after the 0-0 draw with Chievo, the former Udinese tactician has been told he's safe.

"We're not even thinking about dismissing Marino," Parma director general Pietro Leonardi noted.

"We are creating a host of scoring opportunities and we just need to improve on finishing them off.

"I'm convinced that we'll be able to get out of this situation thanks to our Coach.

"It must also be noted that a few negative incidents have proved decisive during recent times."

Parma are bottom of the League, along with Bari, Bologna and Cesena, after collecting just eight points from nine games.

They are away to Napoli in Week 10.
