Reports are growing that Parma will bring former Italy international Franco ‘El Mudo’ Vazquez back to Serie A from Sevilla.

The creative midfielder turns 32 next month and his contract with Sevilla is due to expire in June.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia and more, negotiations are at an advanced stage for Vazquez to join Parma.

He has been offered a two-and-a-half year contract, which would expire in June 2023.

It would be a return to Italy for Vazquez, who started his European career at Palermo from 2012 to 2016.

Mudo was sold to Sevilla for €16.8m in July 2016, but had just 13 competitive appearances so far this season, most of them off the bench.

Vazquez had chosen to play his international football for Italy and received two caps in 2015, but as they were only in friendlies, he was free to change back to Argentina in 2018.
