Fiorentina left-back Fabiano Parisi was forced into withdrawing from the first team’s training session on Wednesday afternoon after suffering a blow to his ankle.

The 22-year-old was seen sitting on the bench on the sidelines of Fiorentina’s training centre with an ice pack firmly attached to his left foot.

La Viola had been carrying out an open training session for supporters wanting to catch a glimpse of their favourite players.

Naturally, it is too soon to understand the full extent of the potential injury as Parisi has not yet undergone any official medical assessment.

The defender’s withdrawal from training will still be a cause for concern for Vincenzo Italiano and his team, as Fiorentina prepare to face an in-form Juventus side at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Sunday.

In more positive news for Fiorentina, captain Cristiano Biraghi returned from his injury in the 1-0 loss against Lazio at the weekend.

However, with right-backs Dodo and Michael Kayode both out as well, there could be an opportunity for a youngster to make their mark against Juve according to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio.
