Leandro Paredes assures he ‘always wanted’ to come to Juventus and told his family ‘it’s Juve or nothing’ when it came to leaving Paris Saint-Germain.
The Argentina international made the transfer on loan with obligation to buy under certain circumstances for €22.6m and was presented to the fans at the Allianz Juventus Stadium during last night’s 2-0 Serie A victory over Spezia.
“I am truly happy to be here, this is a club I always wanted to join, so I am happy,” Paredes told the official club website.
“Juve was the team of my dreams. I had the opportunity many years ago and didn’t want to miss out again. I told my friends and family: ‘It’s Juve or nothing.’”
He also followed his friend and former PSG teammate Angel Di Maria to Turin.
“We’ve been friends for many years, our families and children are also very close. Being with him in the same team again is special.”
Paredes has chosen the Number 32 jersey for Juventus.
