Paratici using Juventus history to strengthen Conte’s Tottenham

Fabio Paratici is re-signing players he brought to Juventus in order to strengthen Antonio Conte’s Tottenham.

The Lillywhites are currently working on signing both Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur from the Bianconeri, two players that Paratici initially brought to Turin in recent years. The Italian sporting director is continuing to grow the Italian connection in North London, and these latest signings are an example of that.

This is not a new move from Paratici. Spurs signed Argentinian defender Cristian Romero last summer from Atalanta, but the player was initially brought to Turin by the Italian sporting director in July 2019 before they sent him to Bergamo on loan. This was the first sign of his intention to utilise his history with Juventus to benefit the Premier League side.

The North London club have also been linked with moves for Weston McKennie and Paulo Dybala in recent weeks, two more players that were brought to the Piedmont capital by Paratici, and it’s likely that the Italian sporting director will continue looking to Serie A for reinforcements in the upcoming summer transfer window.
