“The Juventus objective is to be competitive in Spring, which is precisely where we are on all three fronts,” Paratici told Sky Sport Italia.
“We’re top of the Serie A table, in the Champions League Round of 16 and Coppa Italia semi-final. That means we have met those targets and now is when the really hard work begins.”
The results are not so much the cause for criticism under Sarri, but the style of football and level of performance.
“We had some very good performances, some less good, but that happens to all teams over the course of a year, with varying fitness levels. If we go back one, two, three years in February, we’ll see the exact same newspaper articles that we’re seeing now.
“We’re well aware of the period we are going through and are not remotely concerned.”
