Tottenham’s director Fabio Paratici will have to step away from his job in North London after FIFA announced that a 30-month ban imposed by FIGC has been extended worldwide.

“FIFA can confirm that following a request by the Italian FA (FIGC), the chairperson of FIFA disciplinary committee has decided to extend the sanctions imposed by FIGC on several football officials to have worldwide effect,” the football governing body said in a statement on Wednesday.

The Italian director had been handed a 30-month ban in January in the same sporting trial that led to a 30-point deduction for his former club Juventus.

Paratici has already lodged an appeal to CONI Collegio di Garanzia, but in the meantime, FIFA has extended his suspension worldwide, meaning he will have to step away from his job in North London, as reported by The Guardian.

Paratici, a former Football Director for Juventus, received the higher punishment from the FIGC Court of Appeal in January 2023, with a ban of two and a half years.

Former Juventus President Andrea Agnelli and CEO Maurizio Arrivabene have been banned for two years, while current Bianconeri director Federico Cherubini received a 16-month ban.

Paratici has recently spoken about Antonio Conte’s dismissal on Tottenham’s official website saying that it was ‘the right decision.’
