Paratici was asked about the reports Juventus tried to bring Conte back to Turin two years ago, but that President Andrea Agnelli vetoed it.

“That is false. Our primary target was Maurizio Sarri and he is the coach we brought in. The same goes for that urban legend that we were going for Pep Guardiola, which we can laugh about now. Our first choice was always Sarri and we won the Scudetto with him.”

Inter have asked their players to take a two-month pay cut, so will Juventus do the same?

“The football world has to pay attention to these situations during a financial crisis for the sector. We have paid all the wages regularly, which we are proud of. We have no collective negotiation process, we will speak to the players individually at the end of the season to see if we need to do anything.”

His contract expires in June, and according to reports in Italy, he could leave Juventus at the end of the season, especially if the Bianconeri miss out on the Champions League.

“It doesn’t depend on a game only, you don’t program the future depending on two or three games, you look at multiple dynamics, we are focused on what we must do and we ask the same to the players.”
