Juventus director Fabio Paratici said playing the 2020-21 season with the same squad is ‘a possibility,’ as clubs deal with a constantly-changing scenario.

However, the Minister for Sport is still refusing to confirm if and when the Serie A season will resume, let alone the timing of the transfer market.

However, the Minister for Sport is still refusing to confirm if and when the Serie A season will resume, let alone the timing of the transfer market.

“I’d say the next transfer session will be creative and elastic,” Paratici told Sky Sport Italia.

“We have to take it day by day, because the situation and view of things change constantly. Over the last few days, we seem to get pessimistic or optimistic depending on the latest statistics.

“Either we say that we are getting back to playing or we’re not playing, we are meant to start training and then we’re not. We’re still in the balance, so we have to be elastic with our plans.”

Paratici even suggests an intriguing proposition for the transfer market if the summer blends into September.

“Some say we could play the 2020-21 season with the same squad? It’s a possibility.”
