Italy legend Paolo Rossi will forever be remembered with the World Cup in his hands and now he’ll rest forever inside an urn shaped like the World Cup.

The striker died from a long illness at the age of 64 on December 9.

Following the funeral in his adopted town of Vicenza, there was today another ceremony in his home of Prato.

Wife Federica and their two daughters were in attendance, along with the son he had from his first marriage and his brother Rossano.

Former teammates Giancarlo Antognoni and Giovanni Galli were also present at the Cathedral.

Rossi was cremated in Vicenza and his ashes have been placed inside an urn shaped like the World Cup trophy he won with Italy in 1982.
