Goran Pandev has reportedly decided to continue his playing career for one more season, signing a new deal at Genoa.

He turns 38 next week and is currently a free agent, as his contract expired on June 30.

The North Macedonia international had said he would make a decision after taking his country to the UEFA EURO 2020 tournament, the first major competition in their history.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Pandev has now taken some time on vacation and decided he wants to continue his playing career.

He is expected to sign a new deal at Genoa until June 2022.

Pandev spent most of his career in Italy, coming to Inter as a teenager for their youth academy in 2001.

He also represented Spezia, Ancona, Lazio, Napoli, Galatasaray and then moved to Genoa in 2015.

The forward has scored 32 goals and provided 11 assists in 165 competitive games for Genoa.

This includes a more than creditable seven goals and three assists in 29 Serie A appearances last season.
