The fans of both Roma and Lazio boycotted the derby, which ended 2-0 for the Giallorossi, to protest against measures to block off the part of stadium known as the 'curva'.
While the fans did not show up during the match, they were at the hotel to cheer up the team and sing choruses.
Some of these included polemical choruses directed to Pallotta, who once said he would like to watch the derby from the curva, together with the hardcore fans.
The ultras chanted: “Now where is James Pallotta?”
La Gazzetta dello Sport reported Pallotta's response after the derby.
“To those protesting, I'd like to say that during the derby I was the one singing, 'Now where is the curva?'
“I'm very pleased. Roma played as a team for 90'. As for the ultras, I'd like to remind them that I'm in Boston, trying to get a stadium built for Roma. Maybe they'll appreciate this?
“The team seemed in great physical shape, I just hope that [Mohamed] Salah is ok,” he said, in reference to the Egyptian striker who was stretchered off the pitch.
“The foul could have been worth a red card.”
