The Italian news agency suggests that the American is interested in buying Premier League side Newcastle.

The Magpies have been up for sale by owner Mike Ashley for a number of years, but so far a legitimate buyer has yet to materialise.

Pallotta is expected to retain a minotiry share in the Giallorossi, and could thus redivert his resources into buying the English club.

Pallotta became sole owner of Roma in 2012.
