Roma President James Pallotta believes ‘even a team like Barcelona are beatable’.

The Giallorossi get their Champions League campaign underway against the holders of the competition tonight, and the patron believes anything is possible.

“It’s almost impossible to do so well in such a short time,” Pallotta told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“But if we play well, then even a team like Barcelona are beatable.”

The President also spoke about this summer’s big signing, Edin Dzeko, as well as the club’s iconic captain Francesco Totti.

“With Dzeko we have the great centre-forward we’ve been lacking for 10 or 12 years. Totti is great, but having a poacher is different.

“Francesco is still in great shape. Hopefully he’ll stay with us for life, but we’ve never talked about him becoming a director.”
