Roma President James Pallotta has assured that the club’s proposed sale to Dan Friedkin is still on, despite talk of a Plan B.

Sky Sport Italia reported on Tuesday that there was a slowdown in negotiations to transfer ownership of Roma to Friedkin.

As a result, Pallotta was said to be planning to proceed with a three-year plan for the Giallorossi, prioritising a new stadium, sticking by Paulo Fonseca and keeping Nicolò Zaniolo.

However, when asked by LaRoma24 if a sale could still go through, the 62-year-old replied: “Always.”

Friedkin had reportedly agreed a price of around €780m to buy the Lupi, but that was before the club announced losses of €87m.

Those losses have since been compounded by the coronavirus pandemic, which is predicted to have a huge economic impact on football.
