Raffaele Palladino has arrived in Florence to finalise his move to Fiorentina and put pen to paper on his contract.

The 40-year-old Italian coach has decided not to renew his contract with Monza, ready to kickstart a new adventure after an impressive two-year spell in charge of the Biancorossi. He was initially the Primavera coach before taking on the main job following Giovanni Stroppa’s dismissal.

Fiorentina identified Palladino as an exciting option to take over following Vincenzo Italiano’s decision to step away from the role, keen for a new project after three years at the helm of the Viola. He guided the club to two Conference League finals but failed to secure a trophy.

The 40-year-old coach is expected to sign a two-year contract worth around €1.5m net per season, ready to take over at the Viola.
