Gabriel Paletta appears to have accepted a loan move to Atalanta, as he’s left Milan training this afternoon.

The defender is surplus to requirements following the arrival of Alessio Romagnoli, and has been linked with the Orobici for some time.

According to Sky, Paletta has left training at Milanello, and is now travelling to Casa Milan to officially sign the loan agreement, before joining up with his new teammates in Bergamo.

It’s not clear whether the deal will contain an obligatory buyout clause, or if the Italian international will only be moving for this season.

Paletta joined the Rossoneri on a free transfer in January, after leaving Parma, and made 14 appearances for Filippo Inzaghi’s side last season.

However, new Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic was determined to bring in Romagnoli, meaning there is no space for Paletta.
