Chievo Verona have confirmed that a deal for Stefano Sorrentino has finally been done with Palermo.

The Rosanero have been in negotiations for the goalkeeper since the January transfer window opened, but finding an agreement proved problematic.

However, Chievo sporting director Giovanni Sartori has revealed that the two clubs have reached a compromise for the 33-year-old.

“We have accepted Palermo’s offer for the player,” Sartori noted. “There should be no further problems. It is now all in the hands of the Sicilian club.”

It is understood that the Stadio Barbera outfit will hand over around €4m for the former Torino and AEK Athens custodian.
