Andrea Caracciolo has revealed that he turned down advances from Palermo to stay on at Brescia this summer.
The 32-year-old once before moved from the Rondinelle to the Rosanero, in completing a €9m to Sicily after the former’s relegation in 2005.
On from a difficult two years with Palermo, Caracciolo re-established himself with Brescia before a similar experience at Genoa in 2011.
After struggling briefly there and with Novara, the forward again returned to Brescia in 2012, where he has since enjoyed career-best form.

Combined with his contract at the Stadio Mario Rigamonti expiring this summer, it reportedly had Palermo interested this summer in a move to return the striker back to Serie A.
“Palermo were after me when I was out of contract,” Caracciolo has told Brescia’s official website today.
“I immediately informed Brescia out of correctness and a few weeks later we both renewed with mutual satisfaction.
“I have never regretted this choice, even when the situation seemed to turn for the worse.
“I would leave Brescia now only if they were to ask for this sacrifice. As everyone knows, my priority has been and remains Brescia.”
