The Uruguayan international, who scored four in the 8-0 Confederations Cup win over Tahiti on Sunday, and the goalkeeper are attractive transfer targets after the side’s relegation.

“Hernandez is a great player, a youngster who could help us to re-launch,” Rosanero director Giorgio Perinetti told Radio CRC.

“We have no intention of selling him and we haven’t received any offers up to now. We want to keep him.

“The player is worth a lot more,” Perinetti noted when asked about a possible €4m valuation for the striker.

“He has enormous potential and margins of improvement.”

Sorrentino, meanwhile, is wanted by a number of top-flight outfits just six months after leaving Chievo for Sicily.

“I’d like to keep him here with us as well,” the former Siena official continued. “We hope the players we have already have the strength to take us back into Serie A.”
