Palermo’s new owners have promised to pay off the club’s debts but warned that they are not in the business of splashing the cash.
Arkus Network completed its takeover of Palermo last week, and the group’s chief Salvatore Tuttolomondo outlined its aims for the Serie B side.
“Our first steps will be to pay off debts and avoid the onset of prejudices against the club in both civil and criminal court proceedings,” he said at a Press conference.

“In this regard, we won’t make statements about everything that is under way. There are lawyers dealing with these things.
“We have a big task ahead of us, but it’s a string in our bow. We’re experts in restructuring companies and we’ll do it again.”
The Rosanero are playing for promotion to Serie A and can go up with just a point against Cittadella on Saturday if Lecce lose to Spezia.
