It was reported this afternoon that the decision had been made, and Fernando Viviani was to be his successor on the Barbera bench.
However, Tuttomercatoweb is now reporting that Viviani is being lined-up for an assistant role, as former Argentinian international Guillermo Barros Schelotto is ready to take over.
The former winger left Lanus last month, having enjoyed a successful period in which he won the Copa Sudamericana in 2013.
