Palermo have their new goalkeeper – Panathinaikos and Greece international Alexandros Tzorvas.

It was understood that Chievo custodian Stefano Sorrentino would replace Salvatore Sirigu in Sicily, but it seems that is no longer the case.

“We’ve done a deal for Tzorvas,” President Maurizio Zamparini noted. “There will be no more attempts to sign any other goalkeeper.”

The 29-year-old started his career at Panathinaikos, but he was only guaranteed first team football after his return to the club following his 2007-08 campaign at OFI Crete.
