Palermo have reportedly passed up the chance to sign former Manchester United striker and free agent Federico Macheda.
Macheda has been unattached since leaving Cardiff City over the summer, and Mediagol claims his agent Donato Di Campli personally attended Palermo’s match against Crotone on Sunday, which ended 1-1.
However, the representative was then told by Rosanero executives that the club were not interested in bringing in his client.

Macheda was formed in Lazio’s youth team but has only played for one club in Italy, that being Sampdoria in the second half of the 2010-11 season.
