Palermo confirmed they “will probably reach an agreement” with Sampdoria on Monday for Emiliano Viviano.

The goalkeeper is owned by the Rosanero, but spent this season on loan in Genoa.

“I will meet Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero on Monday and I think we will probably reach an agreement,” said Palermo patron Maurizio Zamparini.

“We have to consider what the player wants and he clearly expressed his desire to remain at Sampdoria.

“With a bit of effort we’ll be able to find a middle ground. I would be happy to bring Viviano back to Palermo, but I know he is very fond of Sampdoria and their fans.”

Viviano has managed to push Argentina’s first choice goalkeeper Sergio Romero on to the Samp bench.
