Maurizio Zamparini assured Palermo “will be even stronger” and have “three options” to replace Paulo Dybala.
The Rosanero President spoke to the Corriere dello Sport newspaper about moving forward without new Juventus signing Dybala.
“The squad will be even stronger than last season. It’s already better and we just need two cherries on the cake to make it complete.”
Zamparini confirmed they need to sign a defender and a forward, but it won’t be Empoli full-back Lorenzo Tonelli.

“Empoli won’t give us Tonelli, so that has fallen through. We will not go beyond our offer of €3m. If he arrives on our terms, then good, otherwise we’ll seek an alternative.
“For the ‘new Dybala’ it’s a matter of days. It could well be Jonathan Calleri… We have three options and must choose the best one.”
Calleri is a 21-year-old Boca Juniors forward who seems to be first choice for the role.
