Reports say Palermo could sack Walter Novellino and re-hire Davide Ballardini in what would be their ninth coaching change of the season.
Novellino arrived at the Rosanero at the beginning of March but has failed to improve the club’s form and there were angry fan protests during last night’s 3-0 home defeat to Lazio.
The Sicilians have picked up just one point in the Coach’s four matches in charge and are in very real danger of being relegated to Serie B.

Gazzetta dello Sport has reported today that Novellino is now at serious risk of the sack.
Ballardini, who coached the club between November and January this season, is the leading candidate to replace him according to the outlet.
Should the appointment take place it would be the ninth coaching change of the season for the club.
Beppe Iachini has had two stints in charge, while Novellino, Guillermo Barros Schelotto, Giovanni Tedesco, Giovanni Bosi and Ballardini have also had a go on the bench.
