Maurizio Zamparini confirmed Palermo will get one of Gregoire Defrel, Jonathan Calleri or Sergio Araujo, but Torino can’t have Andrea Belotti.
The President spoke to reporters at the team’s pre-season friendly and revealed how the hunt for Paulo Dybala’s replacement was going.
“There are three names for the attack: Defrel, Araujo and Calleri. We’ll see what we manage to finalise.”
Defrel impressed in Serie A last season for Cesena and has also attracted interest from Fiorentina, Roma and Premier League sides.

Calleri and Araujo are both owned by Boca Juniors, though the latter was on loan at Las Palmas.
“Yesterday (Torino President Urbano) Cairo called to ask for Belotti. I told him the player is ours and for the moment we’re not even thinking about letting him go.
“We’ll see in 15-20 days if the scenario changes, but why should I have to sign a new striker to replace him? I think that in a couple of years Belotti will be worth €20m to €25m.”
The Rosanero are also active when it comes to improving their defence.
“We are looking at three defenders and are in no rush. We are monitoring Gyomber and Tonelli.”
Norbert Gyomber plays for Catania, while Empoli full-back Tonelli has also been linked with Napoli.
