There is confusion at Palermo, as director Nicola Salerno insists he “never” negotiated for Jonathan Biabiany, despite President Maurizio Zamparini’s claims.
The January transfer window slammed shut on Tuesday and Zamparini told reporters he had asked Inter for Biabiany, but was turned down for the winger.
“This negotiation never reached me,” director of sport Salerno told Mediagol.
“It’s possible Zamparini held the negotiations, but it’s not something that the patron passed on to me.”
