Transfer expert Matteo Moretto says that Tomas Palacios wants to join Inter while negotiations between the Nerazzurri and Talleres enter an ‘insense’ phase.

Inter is pushing to sign Argentinean talent Palacios, who the Nerazzurri have identified as their priority defence target.

Football Italia transfer expert Matteo Moretto wrote in his latest column for Caught Offside’s Daily Briefing that the most intense phase of negotiations starts today.

Argentine talent Palacios wants to join Inter as negotiations continue

Moretto says that Inter are in direct contact with Talleres’ directors as they want to avoid Independiente Rivadia, where the player is currently out on loan, exercising a 50% purchase option on Palacios.

The Nerazzurri are working on the figures of a possible sell-on clause to be included in the deal.

Palacios and Talleres have received offers from Bundesliga clubs as well, but the 21-year-old has already informed them that he wants to move to the Stadio Meazza this summer.

Inter need a new defender to replace Tajon Buchanan, who suffered a tibia injury while on Copa America duty with Canada this summer and will remain out of action until the end of the year.
