Former goalkeeper Gianluca Pagliuca has every faith that Sampdoria can survive this season.

The Blucerchiati showed signs of life on Saturday with a precious 1-0 win against Bari.

That victory takes Sampdoria out of the relegation zone on goal difference with four games left.

"It's a breath of fresh air also because the next two games are against Brescia at home and Genoa in the derby and, in my opinion, there is a good chance of survival above all if Samp were to win against Brescia," Pagliuca said.

"Samp have many chances to save themselves, but they have to be very careful because while it's true that a victory today is a big step, it's still not sufficient to distance yourself from the other teams who are fighting like you not to be relegated.

"With their defeat to Milan, Brescia are now practically done for, but Samp have to beat them on Sunday."
