Osvaldo-Inter sue each other

There are reports Inter and Southampton-owned Daniel Osvaldo are attempting to sue each other for damages.

The situation deteriorated beyond repair after Osvaldo tried to attack teammate Mauro Icardi during a 1-1 draw with Juventus, then went AWOL for two days without telling anyone his whereabouts.

According to the Corriere della Sera, Osvaldo even attempted to physically confront Coach Roberto Mancini twice in the locker room after that game at the Juventus Stadium.

Now Inter have suspended the 29-year-old and are reportedly suing him for breach of contract and want damages as well as immediate termination.

In turn, Osvaldo is said to be taking his own legal action against the club for barring him from attending training.

The Italy international twice turned up to the Pinetina training ground and asked to be let in, but was twice refused at the gate.

This is because of a rule in the Italian system meaning clubs must give players the right to train.

A similar loophole was activated by Goran Pandev when he sued Lazio and won – in order to earn a free transfer to Inter.

Inter and Southampton hope to resolve the situation by sending Osvaldo out on loan for the next six months to another club, but there are problems here too.

Osvaldo has reportedly turned down QPR, Torino and Cagliari, as he will only accept Milan or Juventus.
