Napoli have agreed terms to sell Leo Ostigard to Stade Rennais, but the defender would prefer to stay in Italy, creating a potential roadblock.

The Partenopei have been looking to ship off some unneeded players quickly in order to allow them to bring in reinforcements for Antonio Conte, who is in the early stages of his new project in the Campania capital.

Napoli haven’t managed to sell Victor Osimhen yet but are now seemingly willing to lower their €130m price tag, accepting that his release clause may not be activated in the coming weeks, and Paris Saint-Germain are in close contact.

Ostigard situation

Il Mattino via TMW details how Napoli have agreed to sell Ostigard to Rennes for around €7m and are now waiting for the defender to agree personal terms.

The 24-year-old would prefer to stay in Italy, with Torino and Genoa both interested in a deal, and his preferences could ultimately cause the deal with the French club to collapse.
