Napoli have confirmed that goalkeeper David Ospina has returned home from hospital after being given the all-clear.
Ospina spent the night in hospital after he collapsed during Napoli’s 4-2 win against Udinese on Sunday, but tests subsequently confirmed the Arsenal loanee did not sustain any lasting head injuries.

Ospina spent the night in hospital after he collapsed during Napoli’s 4-2 win against Udinese on Sunday, but tests subsequently confirmed the Arsenal loanee did not sustain any lasting head injuries.
“David Ospina was discharged this afternoon from Pineta Grande Hospital, where he was taken last night for a series of assessments and specialist visits,” read an official statement.
“All the tests came up negative. The visits ruled out any problems. The diagnosis was that of a vasovagal syncope, which was resolved within a few hours.
“The player was advised to take a few days off and will not be called up by Colombia.”
