Napoli forward Victor Osimhen saluted coach Gennaro Gattuso with a message on social media. ‘You have been instrumental for my growth’.
The Nigerian forward arrived at Napoli last summer, but struggled with injuries and coronavirus during his first season at the Partenopei.
However, the 22-year-old made an impact with his 10 goals in 24 League games and showed great potential when he was in shape.
Gattuso was the coach that greeted him in Naples, but the former Milan tactician leaves the Azzurri after one and a half years at the helm.
Osimhen sent a message to salute the coach on Instagram.
“You have been instrumental towards my development,” Osimhen wrote. “Not just as a player but also as a man.
“I really appreciate all you do for me on and off the pitch, I admired you as a player and to be able to work under you and call you my BOSS is something I will never forget in a rush.
“I hold you on high esteem forever. I wish you all the very best on your new adventure BOSS.”
