La Gazzetta dello Sport confirms Napoli are open to completing a swap deal involving Victor Osimhen and Romelu Lukaku, but Chelsea would need to pay between €80m and €90m on top of it.

Napoli are on the verge of appointing Conte as their new coach, and Gazzetta claims the Italian tactician will sign an €8m-a-year contract, which may include a clause to leave the club at the end of each season.

It is also confirmed that Lukaku would be Conte’s primary target in attack.

The Belgian striker will end a one-year loan spell at Roma in June, returning to Chelsea.

How much Chelsea would need to pay in Osimhen-Lukaku swap deal

The Blues are interested in Osimhen, so a player-plus-cash swap deal involving the two strikers appears to be quite a natural scenario.

However, there is a transfer value gap which the Premier League side would need to fill. According to Gazzetta, the Blues, who are expected to announce Fabio Maresca as their new head coach, would need to pay €80m or €90m to sign Osimhen in a swap deal with Lukaku.

Osimhen recently signed a contract extension with Napoli, which includes a €130m clause.

  1. £130 million for Oshimen is over-inflated for a striker who has only had one good season in 4 years in Serie A..

  2. £130 million for Oshimen is worth it. Had it been he didn’t go for AFCON, he would have had more goals. Put osimehn with a good coach and he’ll be the best in the world. Napoli doesn’t deserve him. I’m happy kravaskhelia or whatever is leaving too

  3. To me 130 million is not a bad clause for victor he is good and one of the best to me but he needs to leave napoli for a brighter future thanks.
