Victor Osimhen has seemingly put the TikTok video controversy behind him, as for the first time since that scandal erupted, he stepped up to take a penalty for Napoli.

The centre-forward blasted wide in the draw with Bologna on September 24 and was very angry with himself, but then turned that rage towards the club and their social media managers.

Napoli published a video on their TikTok page mocking the miss and it drew a furious response from the Nigeria international and his agent.

Although coach Rudi Garcia insisted that Osimhen remained the first choice penalty taker, in all the occasions since then, the striker had left it to other teammates such as Piotr Zielinski twice and Matteo Politano once.

However, Osimhen seemingly put that aside this evening, as he converted to equalise against Fiorentina at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

It was also Osimhen who had earned the penalty, brought down by Pietro Terracciano when pouncing on a Fabiano Parisi error.

Napoli had wanted Osimhen to take the other penalties, but he had always handed the ball over to someone else.
