Victor Osimhen’s latest social media message confirms suggestions of racism in Napoli‘s TikTok videos were excessive: ‘Accusations against people of Naples are untrue.’

Osimhen practically put an end to the ‘TikTok’ drama erupted earlier this week with an Instagram story published on Sunday. The Nigerian striker said Napoli fans and people from Naples have always shown him ‘love and kindness’ and insisted that he is proud to wear the Partenopei shirt.

The chaos started last week when Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda threatened he would take legal action against the club for a video published on their official TikTok where they seemingly trolled their star striker.

Osimhen reacted by deleting several Napoli pictures from his Instagram, including those from the 2022-23 Serie A title celebrations.

Some fans on social media, especially those living outside Italy suggested Napoli’s TikTok videos were not only insulting, but also racist, but this doesn’t seem to be Osimhen’s feeling, by reading his latest post.

The Nigeria international did thank his compatriots for ‘leading their voices to support and reach out to me,’ but insisted that he has ‘a lot of friends that are Napolitans’ and have become ‘part of my family and everyday life.’
