Victor Osimhen’s brother-in-law insists the Lille forward ‘has just asked for a little time’ to give his answer. ‘If, and only if, what Napoli promised is real, then it could be a good project for him.’
The forward visited the club headquarters, training ground and even President Aurelio De Laurentiis, but the days pass and there is still no word on his decision.
“The negotiations are continuing, while we wait for Victor’s response,” representative Osita Okolo told Radio Punto Nuovo.

“I don’t know when that will come, exactly. I spoke to Victor, he feels a little under pressure and wants to be 100 per cent sure of his choice and everything else before making a decision. This is why he asked for more time and we must respect what the player wants.
“I read in some media that Victor has already rejected Napoli, but that is absolutely not true. I don’t understand where some information comes from. The lad just asked for a little more time, the negotiations continue every day. He is just trying to make the decision that is right for him.
“We are studying Napoli’s project and listened to their promises. If, and only if, what Napoli promised is real, then it could be a good project for him. If Napoli respect all the conditions, then it’s up to the player and not to me.
“I really don’t know when the answer will come, it’s all in his hands. He doesn’t want any more pressure and wants to be 100 per cent sure of his future. We speak regularly with Victor, but don’t want to add further pressure.
“Victor must enjoy playing football and choose what he wants for himself.”
There are reports Osimhen would prefer the Premier League and is waiting for proposals from Manchester United or Arsenal.
“I know what everyone is thinking,” added the representative. “He is just taking time for his decision, and if all the conditions are respected, the deal will go well.”
