Turkish sources claim that Napoli striker Victor Osimhen asked for a very specific break clause with Galatasaray in January if one of 10 named clubs come in for him.

The deal is all done, he is flying out tonight and should arrive in Istanbul just after midnight local time, where fans are already preparing to gather at the airport.

Napoli have agreed to a free loan as long as Galatasaray cover his salary, which is over €10m per season.

He must also sign a new contract with Napoli first that runs to June 2027, because if he returned from the loan in 2026 with only one year remaining on his deal, it would leave the Partenopei in a weak bargaining position for a sale.

Osimhen sets numerous clauses for Galatasaray exit

Fabrizio Romano has suggested several clauses to be included, such as reducing the €130m fee agreed in December 2023 to just €75m.

Crucially, there is also a break clause for January, but more details are starting to emerge.

A Spor in Turkey maintain the clause only applies to 10 specific clubs that Osimhen named in the contract.

It is safe to assume that Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid will be on that list, but Chelsea might not, considering they tried to offer him only half his current salary, dividing the rest into performance-related bonuses.
